The courses are specially designed, and teachers are specially trained, for ABRSM intensive preparation classes. Since 1999, the school has helped many students pass and in many cases, receive high scores, on the ABRSM practical and theory Examinations.

The classes are specially designed for the ABRSM Music Theory Exam. The school is experienced in training students to pass this exam. Every year many students from our school receive high scores in this examination.

Aural training classes help students, whether they are students who attend the school regularly or students who do not, who need help with the aural section of the ABRSM Practical Exam, which appears in all grades of the examination, one through eight.

This course are specially designed for students who wish to pursue their Diploma degree in the ABRSM exams. We provide courses on writing programme notes, preparing for the viva voce section, and preparing for the quick study. All courses can be taken separately, depending on each student’s needs.

This classes help students who are not familiar with ABRSM practical exam to prepare the exam by experienced teachers who know syllabus very well.

These classes are designed for students who are interested in furthering their study in music theory, whether they are pursuing a degree in music composition or majoring in anything music-related. We provide group and one to one classes taught by highly qualified and experienced teachers from NYU, Columbia University’s Conservatory of Music. Eastman School of Music, Manhattan School of Music.

Every year, before the examination, we invite experienced professors from the US to give master classes to further diploma candidates’ training for the exam.

The Summer Vocal Class by Dr.David Liao usually lasts for two months, from July to August and the lecture is given by David and other senior musicians in person. The course content includes: Domestic or ABRSM Vocal Exams Intensive Training, ABRSM Musical Theatre Exam Intensive Training, Domestic and Foreign Vocal Contests and Stage Performing Training, Domestic and Foreign Music Institute Admission Tests Training. In the training process, students take required courses each week, including 2 vocal individual classes and 1 practical singing group class. Additionally, students may take elective courses, including accompanying class, sight-singing class, stage performing class, and music theory class. Students are free to choose their time for those courses.

To develop candidates ‘confidence, and to make candidates learn the process and become comfortable with the environment of the ABRSM music exam, the principal of Royal Music World, Linda Xia, and her team of teachers will conduct the Mock Exam. The Mock Exam will be held one month prior to the actual exam. Candidates, especially ones who will be taking the music exam for the first time, will benefit greatly from the mock exam.

The idea of this one year course is to prepare the children for private lessons. It will develop children’s interest in music, musical solfege training, and basic keyboard technique.

This course is designed for music lovers of all ages. Students will enjoy and understand music from each time period all of the world.

Our resident Jazz pianist and composer from NYU will help students develop basic Jazz piano technique and improvisation skills. This course offers an opportunity for students to gain the basic knowledge of scales and harmony used in Jazz. Elements covered in this course include chording and rhythm appropriate to diverse styles, such as blues,swing, Latin and modern jazz, as well as techniques for developing newvoicings, articulating the melody, and improvising. Blues structures,modal compositions, and tunes with simple progressions are emphasized in class performance.The skills acquired in this course will benefit pianists participating in Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Improv classes.

When beginning their musical education at Royal Music World, the students are provided with assessments to design courses and find suitable books and teachers for the student. The school provides private lessons for piano, violin, cello, flute, voice, as well as many other instruments.
